Porsche 917K | 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans

Acrylic, 594mm x 420mm

Limited Edition Giclée Print (Limited to 150 prints) with Certificate of Authenticity*

Painting of the iconic Porsche 917K with the memorable blue and orange Gulf Oil sponsorship livery. The aerodynamic bodywork and Flat-12 engine helped Porsche win the historic 24 Hours Of Le Mans race in both 1970 and 1971. Even though it was the sister car who took the chequered flag in the actual race, the #20 was given legendary status as it was the car raced by Steve McQueen in the 1971 film ‘Le Mans’. Although the film is a little disjointed, it nevertheless showcases some fantastic historical footage of the car, as many of the racing scenes were shot live during the real 1970 Le Mans race. Beautiful car, legendary status.

PRINT

A high quality Fine Art Giclée print on Canson Rag Photographique 310gsm paper. This paper is traditionally mould made from 100% cotton, to high archival standards, producing a paper with genuine heritage. By using high-quality rollers, the print will go to the edge of the paper, replicating the original painting dimensions.

Note: The print is delivered unframed.
